The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6
The mind is like a battle field. Good and bad are constantly fighting against each other for your life and peace. A made up mind is necessary each morning to determine the outcome of your day, regardless of how you are feeling. Now we all have bad days, and yes crying or being sad is necessary but we can not stay stuck in a place of daily sadness.
Ask yourself, is it going to be a day with genuine happy smiles or negative sadness?
Am I going to kill this beautiful day God has given me by letting my flesh rule over how I live today? Or, am I going to have a healthy spirit centered day with God to over power my mind, in order to control my flesh/body?
Get SOS for the mind is a choice to think positive, to smile rather than be sad.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:4
